Small Groups

Small groups meet for a variety of purposes with the central focus to build relationships and to explore how we can serve God’s kingdom. We welcome you to join a small group or start a new one. Please contact the church office for more information.

Sunday evenings – Bible Study
     Purpose: Women and Men’s group, read and discuss contemporary and biblical stories
     Location: Home of Jim and Sally Lee 
     Time: 2nd and 4th Mondays, 7:00 pm
     Leaders: Jim and Sally Lee

Monday evenings – Bible Study
     Purpose: Men’s group, read and discuss contemporary and biblical stories and provide time for conversation
     Location: HUMC multi-purpose room  
     Time: 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month, 7:00 pm
     Leader: Bob Comstock

Tuesday – Prayer Shawl Ministry
     Purpose: Knit prayer shawls to give to people going through challenging times
     Location: Various members’ homes 
     Time: 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month, 12:00 pm
     Leader: Lois DeWitt

Tuesday evenings – Friendship Circle 
     Purpose: Women’s group of all ages, meet to plan activities to support various church events and also provide time for conversation 
     Location: Various members’ homes 
     Time: 2nd Tuesday of the month, 7:00 pm
     Leaders: Marj Earnhart and Liz Glyzinski

Thursday evenings – Bible Study
     Purpose: Men and women’s group, read and discuss contemporary and biblical stories
     Location: Home of Sue and Sam Emerson 
     Time: 1st and 3rd Thursdays, 7:00 pm

Thursday evenings – Bible Study

Saturday mornings – Craft Circle 
     Purpose: Create crafts for the craft sale during the November Turkey Dinner held annually at HUMC
     Location: HUMC Conference room 
     Time: 3rd Saturday of the month, 10:00 am
